After graduating from Colby College in 1996, Jason attended University of Maine School of Law in Portland. During law school, Jason gained
experience working for the firm of Monaghan Leahy in Portland and in completing an internship for the Kennebec County District Attorney's
office.
After graduating from law school Cum Laude in May, 2000, Jason worked at Unum Provident in Portland for their Appellate Division. Jason joined Jabar, Batten & Ringer in October of 2001. After training
under former firm partner and current Superior Court Justice Michaela Murphy, and his father, former firm partner and current Superior Court Justice Joseph Jabar, Jason undertook his own
caseload beginning in January of 2001.
Jason completed the Maine Trial Lawyers Association College of Trial
Advocacy in May, 2002. He is a member of the Maine Trial Lawyers
Association and the Maine State Bar Association and has been defending
indigent defendants in the Somerset County Public Defender project since
January of 2001.
Jason has experience in all types of criminal matters.
He handled his first homicide trial in May 2003. Jason is admitted to practice in both
state and federal courts. His practice includes the areas of personal injury,
civil litigation, criminal law, and family law.
